EMERGENCY ORDER FOR MANTACHIE CITIZENS AND BUSINESSES:
Town Officials met last night in a special called public meeting to discuss the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. We continue to seek guidance from Federal and State agencies. Last night, the Board of Aldermen adopted a resolution urging citizens to comply with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and the Mississippi Department of Health. Included in the resolution was the mandate to close all dining rooms in restaurants, while allowing restaurants to continue to use drive thru, curbside delivery, take out services, or other delivery methods. Please review the resolution adopted by the Board of Aldermen. We think it is critical to follow guidelines from experts within the CDC and the MSDH. Remember, all town properties such as the community center, town hall, and the park are closed to group activities until further notice. The town hall lobby is closed, but we will continue to answer calls during normal business hours. Visit our website mantachie.itawambams.com or use our drop box at town hall for utility payments. If you have any questions about the resolution that was adopted last night or other concerns, call the town hall at 282-7949 or 282-7936 or me personally at 231-4687. For emergencies, remember to call 911. Please continue to pray for our Nation, State, Town, and Community as we move forward together.
